Tourism in Kaliningrad
The Heart of Kaliningrad
The heart of Kaliningrad is Kant Island with its majestic Königsberg Cathedral. This is a place where time flows differently. With its Gothic architecture, well-kept paths, and inside the cathedral, an organ—regular organ music concerts are held, drawing full houses of connoisseurs of beauty. In summer, the island comes alive especially vividly: street musicians on the Honey Bridge, pleasure boats on the Pregolya River, and sunsets you want to photograph endlessly.

Museum Quarter on Oktyabrsky Island
A new cultural hub in Kaliningrad, bringing together the region’s three largest museums on a single island.

Museum of Fine Arts

The island is connected to the historic center by a pedestrian bridge, with embankments, cafes, and hotels within walking distance. The quarter is creating a new point of attraction not only for tourists but also for investment in related infrastructure: hospitality, retail, and event tourism.
Rostech Arena — Kaliningrad’s Main Sports and Cultural Venue

The largest stadium in the Kaliningrad region, built for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The arena holds 35,000 spectators, and the total area of the grounds is 24.4 hectares. The stadium’s architectural design was inspired by the concept of the famous Allianz Arena in Munich, and visually it resembles a ship. After the World Cup, the arena became the home ground for the football club Baltika.

Today, Rostec Arena is not only a sports venue but also a cultural center. It offers guided tours that include visits to the conference hall, the Hall of Sports Glory (featuring over 300 exhibits), access to the upper tier of the stands with a panoramic view of the stadium bowl, the pitchside, and the team locker room. The stadium grounds also host major music festivals and city celebrations.

“Yantarnaya” Gambling Zone — Excitement and Beach Holidays on the Baltic
A unique project for Russia, located 50 km from Kaliningrad. It is one of the country’s four official gambling zones, featuring two casinos — “Sobranie” and “Shambala” — as well as slot machine halls. “Yantarnaya” is transforming into a full-fledged resort. The company “Shambala” is building an eight-story complex with a five-star hotel of 182 rooms, a spa center with thermal areas, several restaurants, and a nightclub.

The first phase of the new complex is technically set to open by the end of 2026, with the entire project to be completed in 2027. In 2026, a beach adjacent to the gambling zone will be upgraded: sun loungers will be installed, and restaurants and outdoor relaxation areas will open. “Yantarnaya” is becoming a place where you can combine gambling, fine dining, spa treatments, and beach holidays on the Baltic Sea coast.

Yantarny city — highest quality beaches and the main amber treasure of Russia
A settlement home to the widest beaches in the region, the first in the country to be awarded the prestigious “Blue Flag” for cleanliness and safety. Here, 300–400 tons of amber are extracted annually — 90% of the world’s reserves.

Main attractions: a two-kilometer promenade overlooking the waters of Lake Sinyavinskoye, the historic Moritz Becker Park with trees from around the world, and a 19th-century historical church.
The factory museum displays extremely rare samples of the stone with prehistoric inclusions. Yantarny is a place where you can walk along snow-white beaches, search for pieces of “Baltic gold” after a storm, breathe in the pine-scented air, and feel like you’re in a real European fairy tale.

Pionersky – The Quietest and Most Promising Resort on the Baltic Sea
Located between bustling Zelenogradsk and aristocratic Svetlogorsk, this town retains the atmosphere of a “truly local” resort. The main attractions include: a seaside promenade, a pine forest surrounding the presidential residence “Yantar”, historic villas with sgraffito murals, and the former Neukuren airbase settlement (1930s).

In 2026, the large-scale “Cape Pionersky” project will launch – a tourism cluster featuring an 18-meter lighthouse tower hotel, pedestrian zones, a beach elevator, and a spa complex.
Pionersky means quiet streets with half-timbered houses, views of soaring seagulls, and the feeling that the town is about to reveal itself in a whole new way.
