For the first time in its nearly two-thousand-year history, the city of Ganzhou (Jiangxi Province) has signed an international agreement with a Russian city — Kaliningrad. The document was signed as part of the development of ties initiated by Governor Alexey Besprozvannykh during his October 2025 meeting with representatives of the province. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and plan a return visit by a Chinese delegation to Kaliningrad in 2026.
