Lithium-Ion Cell and Energy Storage Systems Production Plant.
The “RENERA” plant is Russia’s first facility for the industrial production of lithium-ion cells and energy storage systems, located in the Kaliningrad region on the site of the Baltic Nuclear Power Plant. The technological partner is the South Korean company Enertech International Inc. The products are supplied to automakers (electric vehicles, electric buses, special-purpose vehicles). Future plans include exports to EAEU countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), as well as Egypt, Turkey, and Southeast Asia. The enterprise will create approximately 1.5 thousand jobs, with investments in the project exceeding $320 million.
